Teaching:
"Jessica Dally teaches a class on soap-making at a Seattle library. Dally is one of eight volunteers who teach lessons for Seattle Free School, which she co-created this year after learning about a similar program in Olympia." -Seattle Times
"Jessica Dally is Buzzing with Know-how" -Seattle Magazine
"The teacher is Jessica Dally, who appears to be the driving force behind the Seattle Free School. That's because, of the courses that are currently being planned — several of which I want to take — she possesses the qualifications to teach most of them" -Seattle Weekly Blog
"Cheesemaking is one of the many kitchen arts Dally has mastered, along with gardening, soapmaking, canning, tending chickens and keeping bees. " -Conscious Choice
"Jessica did a great job explaining the process step by step. She's quite knowledgeable, very engaging, and funny. Jessica is completely unpretentious"
"Jessica was fun, frank and quite knowledgeable about the process without being even a touch stuffy. Very down to earth, casual and friendly."
"Jessica did a great job going over the basics of canning in a digestible (no pun intended) way. She covered a lot of information in an engaging format and put appropriate emphasis on safety. She was able to cater to our audience's diverse range of experiences with canning and fielded all sorts of questions well. She made it interesting and funny -- all of this in a fairly hot, crowded space!"
"This chick knows what it takes to make a safe can, and why that's so gall-dang important. Her lecture and demonstration goes through the materials and equipment you need and in what condition, how to obtain and follow a certified canning recipe, and even cans tomatoes as she speaks! All this spiced with the knowledge to answer every question, anecdotes of joy, irony and horror (all family safe, of course) and the strong admonitions necessary to instill a sense of respect for this now antiquated yet precise science."

"What made the class reassuring? Seeing instructor Jessica Dally, a master canner-food preserver and founder of the Seattle Free School, dedicate a big chunk of time to warning us about the dangers of botulism toxin and giving us ways to keep it out of our personal food chains." -Botulism Blog

On August 14th, 2010 I presented at Craigslist Foundation Boot Camp. I taught a class called "Run Free: How to Transform Your Community Without Monday". While presenting to 60 people on how to change your community was great it was especially fulfilling to hear about how Seattle Free School is helping to bring grassroots activism to China (YouTube Video Link Here)! You can check out my brief interview after the discussion with The Bay Citizen here (YouTube Video Link Here).
Speaking about Community Voice Mail and Second Life on Fora TV
Machinima about Community Voice Mail, the Nonprofit Commons and Second Life
In March 2011 I presented at the Nonprofit Technology Conference on distributed teams. You can also hear an interview I did with Wide Teams on the topic of distributed teams.
